"How'd you like to host a $3 trillion Deal or No Deal?"

That's what President George W. Bush asked TV host Howie Mandell in a message recorded for a 2008 episode of the popular NBC game show.

President Bush appeared on the show to wish a special contestant luck: US Army Capt. Joseph Kobes, a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient who had served three tours of duty in Iraq.

In the segment, which aired April 21, 2008, Bush quipped that he was happy to be appearing on the popular show – "come to think of it, I'm thrilled to be anywhere with high ratings these days."
