Unaware that she was speaking into a live microphone, California GOP Senate candidate Carly Fiorina made fun of her opponent Sen. Barbara Boxer. “God, what is that hair? SO yesterday!”
The former Hewlett-Packard CEO said the comment originally came from her friend, explaining that her own hair is “talked about by a million people.”
“The point of having women in politics was not to produce a ‘Mean Girls’ sequel in the form of the California Senate race,” wrote Ruth Marcus, Washington Post columnist.
Senator Boxer won reelection.
