Muhammad Ali is the only man to win the heavyweight championship three times. After winning an Olympic gold medal in 1960, he shocked Sonny Liston for his first title in 1964. Ali earned his second title belt in 1974 by upsetting a younger George Foreman in Zaire. In 1978, Ali defeated Leon Spinks for his third and final championship.
